Conor McGregor threw a huge bash for his son's second birthday on Sunday.

The UFC star rented out a Dublin ‘Party Zone’ for Conor Junior's big day and invited along their friends and family.

The youngster was joined at the party by his grandparents Tony and Margaret McGregor.

Also invited to the private bash were some of Conor Senior's fighting pals including MMA star Cian Cowley, SBG coach Sergey Pikulski and former UFC star Paddy Holohan.

A thankful McGregor said on Friday: "My son turns 2 this weekend so we are celebrating! I count my lucky stars everyday for this life!"

Conor continued the birthday celebrations long into Sunday night as he was spotted enjoying a laugh with top rugby referee Nigel Owens out in Dublin.

Welshman Owens, 47, was in the capital for the PRO14 rugby awards and ended up bumping into the famous fighter.

The pair were all smiles as they posed for a picture with Owens holding a pint of beer.

Owens joked of the photo: "I have just told him I am refereeing his next match so he has to be on his best behaviour lol."
