Conor Masterson joins QPR on two-year deal after leaving Liverpool

Conor Masterson has signed a two-year deal with Championship club Queens Park Rangers after his release from Liverpool.

The Celbridge centre-back spent five years at Liverpool after signing as a teenager from Lucan United, and captained their under-18s before being named on the bench for Premier League and Champions League fixtures.

But the Republic of Ireland under-21 defender's contract expired with the Reds this summer, and he has elected to move on to West London where he'll join fellow former Irish under-21 lads Ryan Manning and Olamide Shadipo.

To sign for QPR is an honour and a privilege and I can’t wait to get started,” he said

“I learnt so much during my time with Liverpool, had some unbelievable experiences and I think that will carry through into QPR.

“You have your ups and downs in football. Hopefully this move is one of my ups.

“I can guarantee the fans I will give everything in every game.”
