Conor Hazard Celtic transfer exit 'near' as Plymouth agree fee

Conor Hazard is closing in on a move to England, according to a report.

The Celtic goalkeeper will leave the club permanently, with the Hoops said to be pocketing a six-figure deal.

The Daily Record state that Plymouth are close to finalising the deal with the Scottish champions for the 25-year-old.

A fee has been agreed between the clubs, with future add-ons included.

The Northern Irishman came through Celtic's academy and has been on the club's books for nine years.

However, Hazard is keen to kick on with his career and play regular first-team football.

He was the unlikely hero during the Covid season as he helped Celtic to win the 2019/20 Scottish Cup against Hearts in a penalty shootout.

But, for the vast majority of his senior career to date, most of his game time has come out on loan at the likes of Falkirk, Partick Thistle, and Dundee.

Meanwhile, the fee Celtic will pay to buy Yang Hyun-jun has been revealed.

It emerged yesterday that the young striker, 21, looks set to finally get his wish of a move to the Scottish champions.

The Daily Record now says that the Gangwon star will move for around £2.1million.

Yang has been pushing for the move for some time now after he became a prime target of Brendan Rodgers.

He even offered to pay his club, who are fighting relegation from the K-League, his salary to clear the way for his dream switch.
