Conor Gallagher the next Mason Mount as Ethan Ampadu hits incredible landmark away from Chelsea

Chelsea were back in Premier League action this weekend as they lost narrowly to reigning Premier League Champions Manchester City in an entertaining encounter.

But, Frank Lampard's men weren't the only Blues' players in action over the weekend, with Chelsea's loan army making impressions at their temporary homes.

There are 27 players who are currently playing their football away from Stamford Bridge, and they will be hoping to follow a similar path to first team players Mason Mount, Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham who have all been on loan in recent years.

Here is a roundup of how some of Chelsea's loan stars have fared in recent weeks, including goals, assists and qualification for Euro 2020.

Nathan Baxter (Ross County) - Made his first appearance for the club after injury had delayed his start to the season. There was no debut clean sheet as he conceded two as his team fell to a 2-1 defeat to St Mirren.

Trevoh Chalobah (Huddersfield Town) - Made his 15th league appearance in the 1-1 draw with Birmingham City, providing an assist for Fraizer Campbell's opening goal.

Jake Clarke-Salter (Birmingham City) - Was up against his Chelsea teammate as he played the full 90 minutes of the 1-1 draw between Huddersfield Town and Birmingham City.

Josh Grant (Plymouth Argyle) - Played the full 90 minutes of the Pilgrims' 2-1 win over Bradford City, a result which moves them up to eighth place in League Two. He also featured in a 1-0 win over Forest Green Rovers during the international break.

Matt Miazga (Reading) - Played his 11th Championship game of the season in the Royals' narrow 1-0 loss against Brentford.

Dujon Sterling (Wigan Athletic) - Was an unused substitute in the Championship loss against Stoke City.

Juan Castillo (Ajax) - Registered his third assist of the season for the Dutch side's U21 team in their 2-1 win over NAC Breda.

Ethan Ampadu (RB Leipzig) - Was part of the Wales team who sealed their qualification for Euro 2020 over the international break. He was an unused substitute for Leipzig over the weekend.

Lewis Baker (Fortuna Dusseldorf) - Spent the fifth Bundesliga game in a row sat on the bench. He was not called upon in the 4-0 loss against Bayern Munich.

Conor Gallagher (Charlton Athletic) - Was in amongst the goals again, when he netted Charlton's opener against Cardiff City. It was his sixth league goal of the season, he did however endure a frustrating afternoon as his team let slip a two goal lead to draw 2-2.

Danilo Pantic (MOL Fehervar) - Played the first 45 minutes of the 3-1 defeat to Puskas Akademia.

Mario Pasalic (Atalanta) - Played the full 90 minutes of the Serie A defeat to Juventus, although he did come close to opening the scoring vs Maurizio Sarri's side.

Danny Drinkwater (Burnley) - Has not yet played a Premier League minute for the Clarets due to injury, but manager Sean Dyche says that he is close to a return.

“Danny has played in the week, he is more or less there now,” he said (via the Lancashire Telegraph ).

“He is not far away at all apart from match sharpness.”

Victor Moses (Fenerbahce) -  Started for Fenerbahce in a 0-0 draw at Yeni Malatyaspor, playing the full 90 minutes.

Ike Ugbo (Roda JC) - Scored for the fourth game in a row in the 1-1 draw vs Go Ahead Eagles, taking his total for the season to 10.

Izzy Brown (Luton Town) - Provided the cross for Luton Town's last minute equaliser against Leeds United in the 1-1 draw.

Kenedy (Getafe) - Was a second-half substitute, coming on for the final 12 minutes of the 1-1 draw with Espanyol.
