Conor Coady reckons Wolves' surprise Christmas sunshine break can help them continue their red-hot form despite a daunting end to the year.
Wolves are unbeaten in a record 11 top-flight games for the first time since 1962 after drawing at Brighton .
They have their 30th game of the season on Thursday in their final Europa League group game at home to Besiktas.
Boss Nuno Espirito Santo has taken the squad to Spain the last two seasons in the second half of the campaign.
But he brought forward his plans and the squad flew off to Marbella after the Brighton game before returning on Wednesday.
Skipper Coady hopes to feel the benefits when they face Besiktas, Tottenham , Norwich, Manchester City and Liverpool in the rest of December.
The defender, 26, said: “It’s to refresh, it is a change of scenery.
“We have a real tough run of games and I think it is important that these times come and we make the most of them because they are brilliant little breaks.
“It is something we do quite often. The manager likes to do it. It is fantastic for the boys to be together and train, have dinner together and do a few bits.
“We just need to make sure we are refreshed for Thursday. We have a big run of games now coming up this Christmas. We need to make sure we are ready for that but we can say we’re improving - that is the main aim.”
Wolves have already secured their passage to the final 32 of the Europa League ahead of hosting Besiktas in Group K where they are battling leaders Sporting Braga to finish top.
Coady added: “We look to Besiktas now to try and go again and keep on challenging ourselves as much as possible. It is something good that clearly shows the club are doing something right at the minute.”
The Brighton draw was Nuno’s 100th league game in charge. The Portuguese boss took over in May 2017 and has since steered Wolves to 51 wins, 27 draws and just 22 defeats in the league.
Coady said: “We can’t wait for games. but it’s been like that for two and a half years, since the manager’s come in. We like sticking together and playing well, it’s important to keep doing that and keep on learning from the manager.”
