Rising Scot Connor McBride has been nominated for the Premier League 2’s Player of the Year award.
The young striker has been shortlisted after he netted 12 goals and provided six assists in 17 games for Blackburn Rovers this season.
McBride only moved to Ewood Park last summer after he left Celtic.
The 20-year-old’s impressive displays have already seen him promoted into Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn first-team squad.
The Scotland youth cap has been shortlisted for the award along with Manchester United’s Shola Shoret.
Manchester City’s Cole Palmer and Liam Delap, Aston Villa’s Aaron Ramsey and Louie Barry and Sam Greenwood and Charlie Cresswell of Leeds United.
McBride follows in the footsteps of Chelsea and Scotland new boy Billy Gilmour who was also shortlisted for the award last season.
It's another good sign for Scottish football with another young star forging a career for himself south of the border.
