Connor McAliskey and Lee Brennan recalled to Tyrone senior football panel

Connor McAliskey and Lee Brennan have been recalled to the Tyrone senior football panel.

The pair impressed in trial games staged by new joint-managers Brian Dooher and Feargal Logan in recent weeks and have been given the opportunity to reboot their inter-county careers after opting out under previous boss Mickey Harte, the Ulster Herald reports.

Trillick clubman Brennan quit the panel in May of last year due to limited game time but is well known to Dooher and Logan having starred in the under-21 side that they managed to All-Ireland glory along with Peter Canavan in 2015.

McAliskey stepped away from the panel in late 2019 having suffered two serious injuries in the previous couple of years, one of which forced him out for the 2017 season, while he had lost his regular starting spot during the 2019 campaign.

But Harte indicated at the time that the Clonoe man’s decision was more a break rather than a retirement and so it has proved.
