Gutted Connor Goldson concedes Rangers are falling short of the standards set last season.
The Premiership champions romped to an unbeaten league campaign and managed an impressive run in the Europa League last term.
That's in stark contrast to this season, where the side have lost three out of four games so far and crashed out of the Champions League qualifier at the hands of Malmo.
Ibrox defender Goldson was struggling to put his finger on the sudden change at the club.
He said following Rangers 2-1 defeat to the Swedes: "We’re not doing things right at either side of the pitch at the moment.
“We just don’t look the same team as last season and that has to change quickly.
“The support was unbelievable and we sent them home disappointed. We’re disappointed.
"We said before the game we had a massive chance of making this a memorable night, and we failed to capitalise on it.
“It’s our fault. The people on the pitch, no one else. We can’t blame management or tactics. It was a game in our own hands and we threw it away.
“It hurts. It’s hard to say. You can’t give away goals like we did at this level.
“We did it in both legs and when you do that you don’t deserve to go through.
“I don’t think you can blame people for missing chances. We played against 10 men for 45 minutes and lost 2-0 in the second half.”
