Connor Goldson 'despises' Slavia Prague as Rangers defender explains what happened in the Ibrox tunnel

Connor Goldson insists he “despises” Slavia Prague’s players after the alleged racial abuse of Glen Kamara.

And the Rangers defender admitted he and his teammates waited in the tunnel to confront their opponents after the game, but they didn’t appear.

UEFA have launched a probe into Ondrej Kudela’s comments to Kamara, and will also look into what happened in the tunnel after the Czech club filed an assault charge.

Goldson was furious after Kudela was allegedly heard making a racial slur to his teammate, and a heated discussion took place on the touchline at full time between Steven Gerrard and opposite number Jindrich Trpisovsky.

Donald Park and director of football Ross Wilson also weighed in as they backed up the Ibrox manager.

Goldson is grateful to the club hierarchy for their support, and outlined what happened in the tunnel after the final whistle as Slavia celebrated reaching the Europa League quarter-finals.

He told Sky Sports: “I don’t think I’ve ever had hatred on a football pitch like I had yesterday. I’ve never really been angry on a football pitch to that extent. I genuinely despise them.

“Me and the whole team waited for them in the tunnel for a good 45 minutes and they didn’t come in.

“I’m proud of every teammate and every member of staff in this football club from the chairman coming down to support us, to Ross Wilson the director of football, to the manager standing by us.

“I respect them 100 per cent because they didn't try and usher us away because we might have got in trouble or the club might get into trouble. This is beyond football.

“There’s so much talk about how to eradicate it and how it's getting better but it’s not getting better. It’s getting worse."
