Defiant Connor Goldson insists Celtic's nightmare season has nothing to do with Rangers title triumph.
Steven Gerrard's side completed an unbeaten season with a 4-0 rout of Aberdeen at Ibrox before being presented with the Premiership title.
However, a historic season in Govan coincides with the collapse of their rivals across the city who finished the season 25 points adrift.
Defender Goldson reckons detractors will point to Celtic's nightmare season as the reason behind Rangers ' dominant league campaign.
However, he called for critics to turn their attention away from what is going on in the other side of the city.
He told Sky Sports: "It's been a long time coming for this football club and I've been here long enough now to meet a lot of people in Glasgow and meet a lot of Rangers fans.
"I know what this club means to so many and it's a proud day for everyone. We'll cherish it for a long time.
"I don't think we were at our best today performance wise but we've beaten the fourth-best team in the league 4-0 at home and our record has been amazing.
"It'll be talked about for a long time what we've done.
"The goals conceded record, clean-sheet record, going unbeaten all season.
"I've heard a lot of people speaking about Celtic this season and how they've fallen away but not many people have given us credit for what we've done. With 102 points, and going unbeaten, it's a magnificent achievement."
