Conor Coady responds to Jamie Carragher's cheeky Liverpool transfer question about Pedro Neto

Wolves skipper Conor Coady has responded to a Liverpool transfer question asked by Jamie Carragher.

Coady came through the club’s academy before leaving Anfield in 2014, and has worked his way to wearing the armband at Molineux.

One of Coady’s team mates, Pedro Neto, has certainly caught the eye with his performances over the past couple of seasons.

Liverpool have been tentatively linked with Neto in the past, and the Portuguese international has also been tipped to make a big-money move away from Wolves in the future.

Speaking on The Greatest Game podcast, Carragher asks Neto: "Have you spoken to him about how good Liverpool is?”

Coady responded by saying: “He’s not leaving Wolves!”

The Wolves captain then went on to say how important Neto is to his team, and why his talent exceeds his relatively young age.

Coady said: "Boss, mate, yeah. Really good. He’s class, him.

"You forget he’s 21, I look at him as a 28-year-old. He doesn’t look that age.

"We were talking the other day and we were on about how he’s born in 2000 and we were putting him in the same category as Phil Foden.

"You look at how well he’s doing and then you look at the numbers Pedro is bringing up as well, and the assists and the goals and how he’s affecting games for Wolves.

"He’s an incredible player, absolutely incredible."
