Murder accused Leighton Barrass has pleaded not guilty to stabbing teenager Connor Brown to death.
Connor, 18, died in the early hours of Sunday February 24 after he was allegedly stabbed behind The Borough Pub, in Sunderland city centre.
Barrass, 20, pleaded not guilty to murder at Newcastle Crown Court while the charge was not put to co-accused Ally Gordon.
A trial date has been fixed for July 2 with a time estimate of at
least ten days.
Barrass, of Hartside Square, Sunderland , and Gordon, 19, of Polmuir Road, Plains Farm, were further remanded in custody.
Judge Paul Sloan QC told them there will be a further pre-trial
hearing on May 17.
