Connell Rawlinson determined to live Wembley dream with Notts County

Connell Rawlinson hopes to achieve his dream of playing at Wembley as he vowed Notts County would do everything in their power to reach the FA Trophy final.

The Magpies are now considered favourites to reach the famous arch having landed a quarter-final clash against Aveley, the lowest side still ranked in the competition.

Notts assistant boss Neil Cox says  they will not take their part-time opponents for granted having been given a scare by Belper Town in the FA Cup earlier this season.

And Rawlinson says he and the rest of the players are determined not to let their journey come to an end and says they are focused on ending the season with some silverware.

“I’ve never had the chance of playing at Wembley,” he said.

“I came close last season with Port Vale in the Checkatrade Trophy.

“We got to the quarter-finals. We want to win the competition now we’ve come this far in it.

“There’s a couple of National League sides still in and you don’t want to look too far ahead, but we want to go all the way.”
