Congress does not have moral right to protest price rise: Karnataka CM

Taking exception to the protest being staged by the Congress against price raise, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai maintained that the main opposition party does not have the moral right to stage such a protest as it holds the dubious record of accounting for the steepest price rise in India.

The CM was responding to queries by mediapersons on the protest being staged by the Congress.

All prominent leaders of the Congress are taking part in the protest.

The CM denied reports about Mandya MP Sumalatha Ambareesh trying to join the BJP. “She had come to invite me to her niece’s wedding. We also discussed some developmental works,” he said.
