Congress dares Telangana Rashtra Samithi , BJP for debate on vows

Hyderabad: The Congress on Monday said the people of Telangana were disappointed as neither the BJP’s national executive meeting nor Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke a word about the promises made to Telangana.

Reacting to the BJP’s NEC and the TRS trying to counter the onslaught by the saffron party, the Congress leaders threw a challenge at both the TRS and BJP to come for a debate on numerous promises made and why many of them have not been implemented.

Nalgonda MP N Uttam Kumar Reddy, former minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah, senior vice-president Mallu Ravi and working president T Jagga Reddy said Modi should have given clarity about the date by which black money would be brought back from Swiss banks and by when 15 lakh would be deposited into the bank accounts.

The leaders alleged that the PM avoided taking the name of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao so that he would not need to criticise him or order a CBI inquiry into TRS leaders’ corruption.
