Congress appoints Ajay Maken to suggest changes in Punjab unit

CHANDIGARH: Congress president Sonia Gandhi has appointed Ajay Maken to assess the post-poll situation in Punjab and suggest organisational changes based on feedback from MLA candidates and other important leaders.

AICC general secretary KC Venugopal issued a missive on Wednesday with names of leaders deputed to 5 states where polls were held. This came on a day PPCC chief Navjot Sidhu tweeted a copy of his resignation as state chief. Party in-charge of Punjab affairs Harish Choudhary also held meetings with MLA candidates of the party.
