Congolese cast ballots as polls extended for second day

Voting has taken place for an unscheduled second day in some areas of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Long delays and logistical problems on Wednesday saw some polling stations across the vast country unable to open at all.

Meanwhile, the last French troops are due to leave Niger in the coming days. The withdrawal of the anti-jihadist troops caps months of souring relations between Niger's military junta and France.

Lastly, we take a look at the Tindouf camps in Algeria, which are home to about 175,000 displaced people from the disputed Western Sahara region. Residents at the camp say they're receiving less humanitarian aid as a result of the uptick in global conflicts.
