BHOPAL: Congress has taken strong exception to alleged indecent behaviour of mining minister Brijendra Pratap Singh with the BJP candidate from Raigaon constituency Pratima Bagri during a public meeting at Semarvar village at the dais in the presence of the chief minister.
State Mahila Congress president Archana Jaiswal said that the way Singh behaved with Pratima was “sad and insulting”. Pratima Bagri, a Dalit leader, could be seen sitting with her head down after the incident, she said. She released two pictures of the public meeting in which Singh is seen with his hands on the lap of the BJP candidate, who was sitting next to him, as he tries to talk to the chief minister.
She further said that when a minister of the Shivraj cabinet could dare behave with a Dalit leader of the party in the presence of the CM, anyone can imagine the plight of common women and girls across the state.
