Cong developed Punjab only on paper, says BJP's Sanjeev Vashisht

MOHALI: The Congress government has developed Punjab only on paper and BJP is the only one which can make Mohali a hub of IT and other industries.

Holding public meetings across Mohali, BJ candidate Sanjeev Vashisht said this process would also led to youth of Mohali getting employment opportunities in their city. He said that if voted to power, his focus would be on all-round development of the constituency.

According to him, Mohali residents are disappointed by the working of the Congress government and they also understand the "tactics of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which resorted to fake guarantees."

Vashisht accused the Congress of restricting development work to paper and making Punjab a haven for mafia and corruption. He also accused Congress MLA Balbir Sidhu of "squandering shamlat lands of Mohali villages."

"Family members of Balbir Sidhu have also indulged in corruption which will be investigated after BJP forms government," Vashisht said.

He said there are areas where people were not getting clean drinking water and streetlights were not working properly. Vashisht promised that streets would be well lit and CCTV cameras would be installed to keep a check on criminal activities.
