Confusion as St Mirren confirm friendly against Coleraine is OFF

Saturday's pre-season friendly between Coleraine and St Mirren is OFF.

The Scottish Premiership club confirmed the cancellation on Tuesday - less than an hour after Coleraine had tweeted that the game was going ahead.

The Buddies said on their official Twitter account: "We would like to confirm that the planned fixture with Coleraine has been cancelled.

"We would ask any supporters who have paid for travel and accommodation to this game to email us their receipts at info@stmirren.com and we will endeavour to refund any expenses."

The cancellation comes amidst reports that Oran Kearney has agreed his release from St Mirren, although the Scottish club has yet to officially confirm the departure.

Saturday's cancellation came less than an hour after Coleraine had tweeted that the game was expected to go ahead:

Meanwhile, St Mirren have confirmed they WILL fulfil their fixture with South Belfast club Rosario YFC this Friday night .

"Please note that Friday night’s match against @Rosario_Seniors in Belfast will still be going ahead," the club tweeted.
