People hoping to get their long-awaited Covid vaccines at a football stadium were stunned to discover they were actually queueing to buy the club's season tickets.
Since January, Home Park in Plymouth has welcomed thousands of people after the stadium was transformed by the NHS in the fight against the virus.
But on Monday, many were left baffled when they reached the front of the line, only to find they had accidentally queued up for a Plymouth Argyle season ticket.
The club's 21/22 season ticket also went on sale on Monday, May 10, at 10am, which saw many football fans eagerly awaiting outside the Home Park Ticket Office, reports Plymouth Live.
Despite there being "significant stewarding" in place, several people who were attending a vaccination appointment said they waited in the wrong queue.
One man said: "There were four queues all next to each other. Took me a few minutes to realise I was queuing for tickets. It was pretty busy up there and I ended up queuing for Argyle tickets by mistake."
Plymouth University Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs the vaccination centre at Home Park, said that it is working with PAFC to "ensure there is clear signage" for season ticket sales to "avoid any confusion".
A spokesperson for the trust said: "The Argyle Season tickets went on sale today which resulted in convergence of the two queues at Home Park.
"The vaccination team are working with PAFC to ensure there is clear signage for the season ticket sales for the rest of their promotion to avoid any confusion.
"The queue for the vaccination centre was fast moving so there were no concerns over congestion but as of 3pm today the queue had cleared."
