As the world's longest-running TV drama, Coronation Street will occasionally bring up old characters or past storylines that viewers struggle to remember.
And that was the case on Friday night when Corrie fans were left scratching their heads (and busily scrolling through social media) to find out who two characters were that Kevin Webster mentioned.
Kevin, played by Michael Le Vell, was comforting partner Abi who is grieving the loss of her son Seb Franklin who was murdered by a gang of youths in a sickening attack on him and his goth girlfriend Nina.
A clearly emotional Kevin mentioned Alison and Jake - which swiftly got soap fans asking who he meant.
Kevin said to Abi (Sally Carman): "I know it's not the same, but when Jake and Alison died I felt the same - hopeless. It does get better, I promise you."
Those with a long memory, and encyclopaedic Corrie knowledge, would know straight away that Kevin was referring to a tragic period in his past.
Kevin married factory worker Alison Wakefield in 2000, after his messy split from first wife Sally Webster (Sally Dynevor) - at a ceremony with his two daughters Sophie and Rosie as bridesmaids (pictured above).
Alison became pregnant, but their baby boy Jake tragically died at just 15 days old with Group B Streptococcal infection.
A distraught Alison was driven to kidnap the newborn Bethany Platt, the daughter of Sarah-Louise Platt (Tina O'Brien). Unable to cope with what she had done, she handed Bethany back to Kevin before tragically killing herself.
The sad chapter in Kevin's life is clearly back in the memory with the tragic events that have unfolded on the cobbles recently.
And soap fans will be hoping that Kevin can help the distraught Abi to get through her terrible grief.
