David Moyes, who is not at London Stadium this evening owing to his positive Covid-19 in midweek, has made one change to the starting lineup that lost to Arsenal last time out in the Premier League to take on Wolves.
That change is enforced as Issa Diop misses having had his own positive Covid-19 test result in midweek. He is replaced in the back five by Fabian Balbuena, who is the only survivor from the midweek victory in the Carabao Cup over Hull City.
The side shows ten changes from the win on Tuesday night as Moyes’ trusted squad players return. Lukasz Fabianski replaces Darren Randolph in goal.
Arthur Masuaku starts his second Premier League game in a row at left wing back. Ryan Fredericks returns at right wing back on the opposite flank.
Balbuena forms a central defensive trio alongside Angelo Ogbonna and Aaron Cresswell.
In midfield, skipper Mark Noble is named on the bench having recovered from a toe injury. Tomas Soucek and Declan Rice line up in midfield once again.
Jarrod Bowen and Pablo Fornals occupy the flanks in the final third and Michail Antonio lines up as the central striker.
Sebastien Haller and Andriy Yarmolenko are named among the substitutes despite their excellent performances in the Carabao Cup victory over Hull.
Assistant manager Alan Irvine will once again lead the team in the dugout with Moyes remaining at home having also tested positive for Covid-19 in midweek.
