Confirmed West Ham team vs Southampton: Anderson out, Haller and start Antonio together

Manuel Pellegrini has made one change to his team for the must-win clash against Southampton at St Mary's on a chilly evening down on the south coast.

Felipe Anderson is not involved in the matchday 18 and his place is taken by Sebastien Haller in the starting lineup. We will soon find out if that means Pellegrini is playing two up front or if Michail Antonio is on the wing with Haller through the middle.

The back four remains in tact from the side that were beaten by Arsenal at London Stadium as Ryan Fredericks, Fabian Balbuena, Angelo Ogbonna and Aaron Cresswell start. Cresswell picked up a knock against the Gunners in the second half but has recovered to start on the south coast.

Declan Rice and Mark Noble assume their roles in midfield once again in front of the back four.

Pablo Fornals looks likely to move into the number ten position which has been occupied by Anderson for the last two games and Antonio on the right wing. At least that is what logic would dictate, anyway.

David Martin, as expected, lines up in goal for the Hammers for the fourth successive game since replacing Roberto in between the sticks, deputising for the injured Lukasz Fabianski.

West Ham: Martin; Fredericks, Balbuena, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Rice, Noble, Fornals, Snodgrass, Antonio; Haller.
