Confirmed West Ham team vs Newcastle United as Angelo Ogbonna returns to replace Aaron Cresswell

David Moyes has made two changes to his starting XI following the 3-2 victory against Leicester last weekend with Angelo Ogbonna and Ben Johnson coming in for the injured Aaron Cresswell and Arthur Masuaku.

The 31-year-old Cresswell suffered a hamstring injury against Leicester and is expected to be out for two to three weeks meaning Ogbonna comes in for this first start since February.

Masuaku was a late injury with Johnson coming onto the left side of defence for him.

Mark Noble was also substituted against Leicester with an injury but the captain has made a full recovery from the elbow issues and will once again partner Tomas Soucek in midfield.

Neither Declan Rice or Michail Antonio have recovered from their injury complaints, however, Rice has returned to gym-based training and Moyes is hopeful both men will be fit to play some part of the run-in.

Lukasz Fabianski as always starts in goal for the Hammers and will be protected by a three-man centre-back lineup of Issa Diop, Craig Dawson and Ogbonna, with Vladimir Coufal and Johnson as the wing-backs.

Pablo Fornals joins Soucek and Noble in midfield with Jesse Lingard and Jarrod Bowen making up the attack and looking to continue their fine goalscoring runs.

Lingard has bagged eight goals and three assists in his previous nine games and Bowen is on a streak of three goals in his last three appearances.

With the injury to Antonio, Bowen's form has come at a vital time for West ham and the 24-year-old will lead the line once more with Lingard playing a supporting role.

Manuel Lanzini and Andriy Yarmolenko have returned to fitness and join Said Benrahma as the attacking options from the West Ham bench.

West Ham XI: Fabianski; Dawson, Diop, Ogbonna, Coufal, Johnson, Noble, Soucek, Fornals, Lingard, Bowen.

Substitutes: Martin, Trott, Balbuena, Alves, Fredericks, Coventry, Yarmolenko, Lanzini, Benrahma.
