Confirmed West Ham team vs Man Utd: Pablo Fornals starts as Manuel Lanzini is ruled out

Manuel Pellegrini has handed Pablo Fornals just his second Premier League start of the season as he replaces the injured Manuel Lanzni in West Ham's starting lineup to face Manchester United at London Stadium.

Lanzini has been ruled out of the matchup with a bruised foot and the Hammers boss has chosen Fornals over the more experienced campaigner in Jack Wilshere to replace the Argentine.

That is one of two changes the manager has made from the side that drew 0-0 with Aston Villa on Monday night.

Aaron Cresswell, as Pellegrini hinted on Thursday, replaces the suspended Arthur Masuaku at left back after the DR Congo defender was sent off for two bookable offences at Villa Park.

The rest of the side is unchanged from the stalemate in Birmingham as Andriy Yarmolenko keeps his place on the right wing despite an ineffective game against Villa.

Ryan Fredericks, Issa Diop and Angelo Ogbonna make up the rest of the back four with Cresswell, while Declan Rice and Mark Noble are once again sitting in midfield.

Felipe Anderson joins Andriy Yarmolenko on the flanks with Fornals as the number ten and all three are in support of Sebastien Haller up front.

West Ham: Fabianski; Fredericks, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Rice, Noble; Anderson, Yarmolenko, Fornals; Haller.
