Confirmed West Ham team vs Liverpool as David Moyes makes Vladimir Coufal decision

West Ham manager David Moyes has made seven changes from the team that drew with Genk on Thursday evening in the Europa League.

The decision to include Ben Johnson over Vladimir Coufal was the biggest call Moyes had to make after the form of the young defender in recent weeks when standing in for the Czech Republic international.

Lukasz Fabianski has returned to the team in place of Alphonse Areola with Moyes pleased to have "two No.1's" to choose from.

The manager has opted to return to his recognised Premier League centre-backs of Angelo Ogbonna and Kurt Zouma ahead of Craig Dawson and Issa Diop's who conceded for the first time as a partnership this season in Belgium. Aaron Cresswell as usual is taking his place at left-back.

Ahead of the backline, Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek will team up as usual in Moyes' 4-2-3-1 formation with Rice the skipper. Club captain Mark Noble is named on the substitutes' bench.

The attacking midfield trio is made up of the usual starters Pablo Fornals, Said Benrahma and Jarrod Bowen. Nikola Vlasic and Andriy Yarmolenko have not been deemed fit enough for the matchday squad and are not included on the substitutes bench.

Michail Antonio was not at his best midweek but the manager has full faith in his star striker and the Jamaica international will lead the line for West Ham, looking to add to his six Premier League goals already this season.

Dawson and Diop are on the bench, offering defensive options, with Noble and Lanzini providing the cover in midfield.

Alex Kral is back after his positive Covid-19 test and is included as a substitute after his late appearance in Genk.

West Ham XI: Fabiański, Johnson, Zouma, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Rice ©, Souček, Bowen, Benrahma, Fornals, Antonio

Subs: Areola, Dawson, Coufal, Diop, Masuaku, Fredericks, Kral, Noble, Lanzini
