Confirmed West Ham team vs Everton: Sanchez & Diangana start in must-win PL2 clash

West Ham have named arguably the strongest team they possibly could as they take on PL2 division one champions Everton at London Stadium on Monday night in a game they simply have to win - and have called in re-inforcements too.

First team midfielder Carlos Sanchez makes his first start in eight months after a serious knee injury to get some much needed game time under his belt.

Another first teamer who has found chances hard to come by in recent months, Grady Diangana, also starts for Liam Manning's side at the London Stadium.

Ben Johnson, who made his Hammers first team debut against Manchester City back in February, starts at right back in a defence made up of highly-rated Ajibola Alese, Josh Pask and Jeremy Ngakia.

Up front, Xande Silva will make just his third appearance of 2019 after a frustrating spell on the sidelines with a hernia injury, he only returned to the team for the last game against Derby County. Nathan Holland will play up top with him.

Nathan Trott also starts in goal for the U23s in their must-win game.

The Hammers have no option other than to go for the win this evening or they will be consigned to relegation - a draw is not enough.

Why West Ham's win over Spurs proved Declan Rice has surged past Eric Dier for England spot

Spurs face Derby County in another PL2 clash this evening that could determine West Ham's survival. Sprus are two points ahead of the Hammers and they face Derby County, knowing that a point will be enough for them to stay in Division One regardless of what Liam Mannings youngsters pull off over in the east of the capital.
