Confirmed West Ham team vs Chelsea: Mark Noble starts, Said Benrahma axed

David Moyes has made two changes to his starting lineup as West Ham face Chelsea in the Premier League on Monday night.

In comes Mark Noble for his first start since the opening game of the season, with Said Benrahma making way as Moyes looks to beef up his midfield and make the Hammers harder to break down.

Noble takes the captain’s armband, as expected, from Declan Rice who also starts in a midfield three alongside Noble and Tomas Soucek.

Noble has played just 88 minutes of the Premier League campaign so far as he has bene ousted by a combination of Soucek and a switch in formation by Moyes.

Aaron Cresswell and Jarrod Bowen have both been passed fit for the game despite suffering knocks in the draw with Crystal Palace in midweek.

Cresswell starts in the back four that is shows one change from the Palace game as Fabian Balbuena returns, Issa Diop makes way.

Bowen and Pablo Fornals will play on the wings of the front three for the visitors to Stamford Bridge and Sebastien Haller starts up front as he continues to deputise for the injured Michail Antonio.

As always, Lukasz Fabianski lines up in between the sticks. David Martin started the corresponding fixture last season when Fabianski was injured and Roberto was hapless, with Martin keeping a clean sheet in a memorable 1-0 win.

West Ham: Fabianski; Coufal, Balbuena, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Rice, Noble, Soucek; Fornals, Bowen, Haller.

Subs: Randolph, Martin, Diop, Fredericks, Yarmolenko, Johnson, Snodgrass, Benrahma.
