Confirmed West Ham team news vs Brighton as David Moyes makes Declan Rice decision

David Moyes has recalled Declan Rice to the starting team following a spell on the sidelines with a knee injury.

Rice is not the only change to the Hammers' starting XI, with Angelo Ogbonna also back in the team following his own injury issues and Jarrod Bowen handed a start.

Club captain Mark Noble is another Hammer back involved after a spell out of the team and starts the match on the bench.

Manuel Lanzini is the man to drop out for Rice following a thigh injury he sustained in the 1-0 defeat against Everton. Issa Diop is the other player to miss out today after being dropped to the bench to make way for Ogbonna.

Lukasz Fabianski starts in goal ahead of what looks to be Moyes' strongest back-four. Vladimir Coufal and Aaron Cresswell line up as the full-backs with Craig Dawson and Ogbonna the center-back partnership.

Rice will take on the defensive midfield role allowing Tomas Soucek to push forward slightly more than he has done in recent weeks in support of the attacking quartet.

Said Benrahma has dropped out with Bowen given the nod ahead of the Algerian, with Jesse Lingard will play through the middle and Pablo Fornals on the left.

The trio will all be looking to supply Michail Antonio with the chances to draw level with Mark Noble on 46 Premier League goals and Paolo di Canio on 47, the Hammer's all-time leading Premier League goalscorers.

Arthur Masuaku is again absent from the matchday squad in what has been an injury-ravaged season for the DR Congo international.

Benrahma is named on the Hammers bench where he is joined by Andriy Yarmolenko and Mipo Odubeko as Moyes' attacking options.

Defensive reinforcements come in the shape of Ben Johnson, Ryan Fredericks, Fabien Balbuena and Diop with Darren Randolph the reserve goalkeeper for the night.

West Ham XI: Fabianski, Coufal, Ogbonna, Dawson, Cresswell, Soucek, Rice, Fornals, Bowen, Lingard, Antonio.

Substitutes: Randolph, Balbuena, Diop, Johnson, Fredericks, Noble, Yarmolenko, Benrahma, Odubeko.
