Confirmed West Ham team news against Aston Villa as David Moyes makes Said Benrahma decision

David Moyes has recalled Said Benrahma to the side with Nikola Vlasic the man to make way after the defeat in Sevilla.

Jarrod Bowen remains on the sidelines with an ankle injury, the club are unsure on a timeframe for the England hopeful but are confident the issue is not a serious one.

Ahead of the match Moyes said : " Jarrod isn’t going to be available for the game but we hope he can make some improvement.

"Of course, we're missing Jarrod Bowen, but we've only not had him for one game, against Sevilla. Did we miss him? Yes. But I think we coped without him last night. But we could do with his goals in the next months or so.

"It's a really difficult injury to diagnosis but we hope we can get him closer to fitness."

Lukasz Fabianski is the other change from midweek with the Polish goalkeeper coming back into the side at the expense of Alphonse Areola.

The French goalkeeper performed adequately in Spain but Fabianski is Moyes' recognised No.1 and starts this afternoon.

Ahead of the goalkeeper Moyes has elected against making any changes, sticking with Ben Johnson, Craig Dawson, Kurt Zouma and Aaron Cresswell at the back. Issa Diop, Ryan Fredericks and Arthur Masuaku are all options from the bench should the manager require them.

In midfield the regular partnership of Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek continues with Rice donning the captain's armband once more.

The attacking quartet is spearheaded by Michail Antonio with support coming from Manuel Lanzini, Pablo Fornals and the recalled Benrahma.

Lanzini will continue in his No.10 role with Fornals on the right and Benrahma the left.

Andriy Yarmolenko has returned to the matchday squad for the first time since Russia's invasion of Ukraine and will be sure to get a huge reception from the Hammers and Villa supporters alike.
