Confirmed West Ham team: Antonio misses out, Ogbonna replaces axed Diop

David Moyes has named his first West Ham starting eleven since returning the club and he has been dealt a big blow with Michail Antonio ruled out of the visit of Bournemouth on New Year's Day.

The manager kept his cards close to his chest from even the players themselves as they didn't find out the starting eleven until 3pm, just two and a half hours before kick off.

Moyes has made  three changes from the final team that Manuel Pellegrini sent out in his last game as Hammers boss, the 2-1 defeat to Leicester City at the weekend.

Declan Rice and Mark Noble both start in midfield, the latter taking the captain's armband back from the former having been rested for the Leicester loss.

Lukasz Fabianski starts in goal as expected while Ryan Fredericks and Aaron Cresswell are the two fullbacks.

Sebastien Haller starts up front but without Antonio alongside him so it looks as if the Frenchman will once again be ploughing a lone furrow up top.

Arthur Masuaku, Issa Diop, Carlos Sanchez and Manuel Lanzini all make way from the team that Pellegrini sent out with Angelo Ogbonna, Aaron Cresswell, Noble and Robert Snodgrass coming in.

Michail Antonio misses out for the home side as well after coming off the bench in midweek.

West Ham: Fabianski; Fredericks, Diop, Ogbonna
