Confirmed: The Spurs starting XI vs Man City - Dele Alli returns as Wanyama and Lucas start

It could be a momentous night for Spurs in the Champions League as they bid to seal a place in the semi-finals of the competition.

The Lilywhites go into the game leading 1-0 thanks to Son Heung-min's late winner at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium eight days ago and they will be quietly confident of progressing.

Man City are still the favourites to play Ajax in the final four but the Champions League doesn't alway go to plan.

While Spurs have been dealt some bad news on the injury front ahead of the game, Mauricio Pochettino has stated that his side are going to fight over the course of the 90 minutes to earn a semi-final spot.

Speaking at his press conference on Tuesday evening at the Etihad, Pochettino said: "The reality is the reality. We are going to be 11 against 11 on the pitch and of course to forget everything and to try and win the game and to challenge them.

"I am a person that never makes excuses after and never before. You describe a reality and the reality is there but tomorrow we are going to be on the pitch and try and win the game. What happens will happen.

"We are going to be more than proud of our run in the Champions League, arriving in the quarter-finals and challenge a team like Manchester City, but that doesn't mean tomorrow we are not going to fight.
