Mauricio Pochettino has named his Tottenham starting XI for this evening's Champions League clash against Bayern Munich.
The Lilywhites started off their European campaign with a 2-2 draw against Olympiakos last time out and they need to ensure that they don't fall to a defeat against the group favourites.
Bayern head into the game on the back of a 3-0 win over Red Star Belgrade and they can extend their lead over Spurs to five points if they win in N17.
Pochettino spoke to the press at Hotspur Way on Monday afternoon and he explained that he wants to win so that the team are in a much healthier position in the group stage after a disastrous start 12 months ago.
"I think last season we would have all signed up for the same campaign in the Champions League," he said. "I hope to win tomorrow to be in a better position than last season.
"Last season we only had one point after three games, nobody believed in us, but we went on to reach the final of the Champions League.
"That is why in football it's important how you start, but it's more important how you finish.
"That is why in a long season you must remain calm and be strong in your mentality."
