Former Nottingham Forest player Julian Bennett has re-joined the club as an academy coach.
Nottingham-born Bennett, who came was on the books at the City Ground before moving on to Scunthorpe United and Walsall, re-joined Forest in 2006.
He spent five years at the Reds, making 95 appearances and scoring eight goals before joining Sheffield Wednesday in 2011.
Bennett was at Hillsborough for two years before signing for Southend United in August 2013, where he finished his career.
When he left Roots Hall in February he had no intention to retire and despite announcing the end of his career because of a knee injury went on trial at Boston United.
However, no move materialised and he has indeed retired.
Now he's back with his boyhood club, whom he helped out of League One, and will link up with Gary Brazil at the Nigel Doughty Academy.
"I’m so proud to join @NFFC academy Foundation Phase coaching team," he tweeted.
