Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of young striker Julian Larsson.
The 18-year-old will, initially at least, be part of the Reds’ Under-23 set-up after making the move from AIK, in his Swedish homeland.
Announcing his arrival, Forest said: “Larsson had attracted interest from Europe’s elite and now joins Trentside on a long-term deal.”
The teenager came up through the ranks at AIK, being rated as one of the club’s brightest talents, and has represented his country at Under-17 and Under-19 level.
He is seen as an exciting prospect by the Reds and one for the future, though will first look to make an impression with Chris Cohen’s team.
Forest still hope to complete a deal for fellow youngster Marcus McGuane, also for the Under-23s.
Personal terms are understood to have been agreed, but paperwork continues to hold up the deal.
Arsenal academy product McGuane is a Barcelona player, but has been on loan at Dutch outfit Telstar.
The midfielder came up through the ranks at the Gunners, before moving to Spain in 2018 and linking up with Barca’s B side.
