Confirmed: Nottingham Forest match selected for TV coverage

Nottingham Forest's Championship clash with Cardiff City has been moved for television coverage.

The game against Neil Harris' side will now kick off on Saturday, September 19 at 12.30pm having been brought forward by two-and-a-half hours and will be live on Sky Sports.

Due to be played behind closed doors at the City Ground, the match is Forest's third of the season after a game against Barnsley in the Carabao Cup and a trip to Queens Park Rangers.

It is the first time Sabri Lamouchi's side will have played on Trentside in 2020-21.

The matches between the two sides saw a couple of 1-0 wins for the visiting teams, the most recent clash a 1-0 win for Forest at the Cardiff City on February 25 shortly before the country went into lockdown because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Cardiff finished 2019-20 in fifth place, only three points ahead of Forest but two places ahead in the standings.

The Bluebirds lost to eventual play-off final winners Fulham in the semi-finals, going down 3-2 on aggregate despite a 2-1 win at Craven Cottage in the second leg.

It will be the first time some of Forest's new players will grace the City Ground pitch in the Garibaldi red, with Tyler Blackett, Lyle Taylor and Fouad Bachirou all expected to make their home debuts.
