Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of defender Gaetan Bong, from Brighton & Hove Albion.
The left-back arrives on a permanent deal from the Premier League side for an undisclosed fee.
The Reds have acted quickly to secure a replacement for Chema, who earlier today in his Spanish homeland.
Bong will provide competition and back-up for Yuri Ribeiro.
The Cameroon international, who has been with the Seagulls since 2015, has struggled for game time this term, making just seven appearances and not featuring in the Premier League since October.
He has previously played for Wigan Athletic, Olympiacos and Valenciennes.
His contract was due to run out at Brighton at the end of the season.
Bong's arrival follows on from the signings of winger Adama Diakhaby, on loan from Huddersfield Town, and striker Nuna da Costa, who joined from Strasbourg.
The 31-year-old could make his debut on Saturday, when Sabri Lamouchi's men make the trip to face Birmingham City.
Forest have until 11pm tomorrow night to complete any further transfer business, before the January window closes.
