Mikel Arteta is expected to put a strong side out against Newcastle United on Saturday in the FA Cup.
The Gunners welcome the Magpies to the Emirates Stadium having resurrected their Premier League season, putting together a run of three straight wins following a disastrous start to the campaign.
Ahead of the FA Cup clash this weekend, Arteta has said: "We’re gonna go after every competition.
"We are the holders we have to defend that title. We know what it means for the football club and the history that is related to the FA Cup. It’s a great competition to play for us."
That suggests there will be a strong side going up against Newcastle, and Arteta will be helped by a number of injury boosts with Thomas Partey returning to full training, though it's unclear whether he will be risked this weekend.
Gabriel Magalhaes is “feeling well and showing no signs of illness” after testing positive for coronavirus, but he does look like he could miss out this weekend due to not being able to return to training until his 10 days of self-isolation were complete.
Other than that, Arteta's men are good to go with no other injuries to worry about, a fortunate circumstance at this stage in the season given the busy schedule.
Arteta is also able to call upon out-of-favour Mesut Ozil despite the German being linked with a move away this month and the fact he was left out of the Premier League and Europa League squads.
Ozil was not able to play in the Carabao Cup, either, due to the competition's rules requiring league-registered players, but Arsenal are able to play those players not in the league squad in the FA Cup, so Ozil and Sokratis are available for this one.
