Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Saint-Etienne defender William Saliba and an image which has surfaced on social media has fans talking.
As revealed by football.london last Thursday, the north London outfit have reached an agreement with the Ligue 1 outfit for the signing of the highly-rated centre-back.
The fee is £27m and the 18-year-old will undergo a medical at London Colney before the deal is complete and made official, although he is heading back to Saint-Etienne on a season-long loan deal.
However, Saliba is currently in the United States as part of the French club's squad for the EA Ligue 1 games.
And it just so happens that he has run into three Arsenal players recently.
As pointed out by an Arsenal fan on Twitter, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - flanked by Alexandre Lacazette and Ainsley Maitland-Niles - were in attendance for Saint-Etienne's game on Sunday night.
The image, which you can see below, show the Gunners no.14 standing close to Saliba.
Therefore, this has got one fan on Twitter thinking an announcement could be imminent.
Aubameyang might have played a role in tempting Saliba to the Emirates Stadium.
The Gabon striker spent a year with Saint-Etienne from 2012 to 2013 and spoke to his Gabon team-mate Denis Bouanga to join him at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard after leaving Nimes, according to French outlet Buzzsport.fr.
Has Aubameyang done the same with Saliba?
