Confirmed Crystal Palace team vs Everton as Wilfried Zaha starts but Conor Gallagher benched

Crystal Palace have made three changes to their starting XI for tonight’s Premier League match against Everton at Goodison Park.

The Toffees are in desperate need of three points to keep their top-flight survival hopes alive, knowing anything other than a win tonight will take the relegation battle to the final day of the season. Palace meanwhile are chasing a top-half finish and a record Premier League points total but need two wins from their final two games to accomplish the latter.

As such, Vieira has switched up his Palace team for the game from their last fixture against Aston Villa, reverting back to their more familiar 4-3-3 formation rather than the 5-3-2 used at Villa Park.

Jack Butland returns in goal once again in place of Vicente Guaita, with the Spaniard named on the bench. Marc Guehi and Joachim Andersen are back at centre-back together, with Tyrick Mitchell and Nathaniel Clyne operating on either side at left and right-back respectively.

In midfield, Cheikhou Kouyate who Vieira said he would be talking to following his public support of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Idrissa Gueye, is named on the bench. His place is taken by Will Hughes, with Jeffrey Schlupp and Eberechi Eze playing ahead of him. Conor Gallagher, who scored twice in the reverse fixture at Selhurst Park, starts on the bench.

Wilfried Zaha is once again tasked with providing the creative spark on the left wing while Jordan Ayew lines up on the right side of the front three with Michael Olise out injured. Jean-Philippe Mateta starts centrally, with Odsonne Edouard and Christian Benteke both on the bench.

Crystal Palace XI: Butland, Clyne, Guehi, Andersen, Mitchell, Hughes, Eze, Schlupp, Ayew, Mateta, Zaha.

Bench: Guaita, Ward, Milivojevic, Kouyate, Benteke, Edouard, Gallagher, Kelly, Rak-Sakyi.
