Confirmed Crystal Palace team news vs Aston Villa as Michael Olise absent from matchday squad

Patrick Vieira has named his Crystal Palace starting XI to take on Aston Villa this afternoon at Villa Park.

The Eagles have made four changes from the team that beat Watford 1-0 at Selhurst Park last time out, with Michael Olise absent from the matchday squad.

Jack Butland returns in goal after keeping his first Premier League clean sheet in red and blue last time out against the Hornets. He continues to deputise for Spaniard Vicente Guaita who is named on the bench.

In defence, Tyrick Mitchell returns to the team after a spell on the sidelines while Nathaniel Clyne starts at right-back. In the heart of the defence, Danish international Joachim Andersen is partnered with Marc Guehi, with the latter coming through a late injury worry after limping off against Watford.

Cheikhou Kouyate and Luka Milivojevic both start alongside Conor Gallagher, with the latter without a goal since his impressive strike against the Hornets at Vicarage Road in February.

Wilfried Zaha starts on the left of the front three meanwhile, with Odsonne Edouard dropped from the starting XI in place of Jean-Philippe Mateta as the central striker. Olise, who misses out with injury, is replaced by Ebere Eze.

On the bench, Vieira can call upon the experience of Joel Ward and Martin Kelly at the back plus Will Hughes and Jeffrey Schlupp in midfield. Christian Benteke, Odsonne Edouard and academy youngster Jesurun Rak-Sakyi are all named on the bench.

Crystal Palace XI: Butland, Clyne, Andersen, Guehi, Mitchell, Milivojevic, Kouyate, Gallagher, Zaha, Mateta, Eze.
