Thomas Tuchel has made XX changes to his Chelsea side from the victory over Barnsley in the FA Cup in midweek as the Blues host Newcastle at Stamford Bridge.

Having made ten changes for the fifth round victory, only Tammy Abraham keeps his place in the starting eleven of the outfied players but there is a suprise selection in goal.

Kepa Arrizabalaga starts his first Premier League game since October 17 in the 3-3 draw at Southampton, with Edouard Mendy on the bench.

In defence, Cesar Azpilicueta returns having had the night off at Oakwell and he is partnered by Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen with Kurt Zouma heading back to the substitutes bench having started in the cup.

Marcos Alonso starts at left back one again with Ben Chilwell on the bench.

Callum Hudson-Odoi starts, we think at right wing back.

Mason Mount is back in midfield, as are Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic. Jorginho didn’t feature at all at Barnsley while Kovacic made a late appearance as a substitute.

Up front, Abraham partners Timo Werner, who missed out against Barnsley having sustained a dead leg in the victory over Sheffield United last time out in the Premier League.

Chelsea: Kepa; Hudson-Odoi, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Christensen, Alonso; Jorginho, Kovacic, Mount; Abraham, Werner.
