Confirmed Chelsea team vs Luton: Mount captain as Jamers, Werner and Ziyech start

Frank Lampard has made seven changes to his side from the midweek defeat to Leicester City as attention turns to the FA Cup and the fourth round tie against Luton Town at a snowy Stamford Bridge.

The Blues boss was expected to rotate but also name a strong side like he did for the round three win against Morecambe and the manager has done exactly that.

As expected, Kepa Arrizabalaga starts in goal for the Blues as Edouard Mendy gets the afternoon off once again in the cup.

Reece James starts at right back as he starts for a second game in a row, while Emerson Palmieri is in for Ben Chilwell on the opposite flank.

At centre back, Kurt Zouma is recalled having been left out for the last two Premier League matches, replaced by Antonio Rudiger against Fulham and Leicester. Zouma is partnered in the heart of the defence by Andreas Christensen.

In midfield, Billy Gilmour starts in the FA Cup for the second successive game and he is joined in the middle of the park by Mason Mount, who captains the side.

It looks like a change of formation for Lampard to a 4-2-3-1. TRammy Abraham will play as the lone striker with Timo Werner, Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech making up the three behind him, with Werner likely a number ten.

Chelsea: Kepa; Azpilicueta, Zouma, Christensen, Emerson; Gilmour, Mount; Ziyech, Werner, Pulisic; Abraham.
