Confirmed Chelsea team vs Leicester City: Kai Havertz ruled out, Mateo Kovacic in squad

Thomas Tuchel has made two changes to his Chelsea side as they face Leicester City for the second time in four days but this time in the Premier League.

Edouard Mendy returns in goal for the Blues having sat out the FA Cup final loss as he replaces Kepa in between the sticks.

In defence, Reece James starts once again at right centre back with Cesar Azpilicueta included as well. Antonio Rudiger starts in the heart of the backline alongside Thiago Silva and James.

Ben Chilwell, who was a substitute in the FA Cup final, returns to the starting eleven at the expense of Marcos Alonso and he is the only change from the cup final.

N'Golo Kanrte and Jorginho both start in midfield as Mateo Kovacic returns to the matchday squad as he is on the bench after a two-month absence.

Up front, Kai Havertz misses out through a reported hamstring injury, so Timo Werner starts once again. Also in from the start is Christian Pulisic, while Mason Mount starts as he usually does.

Chelsea: Mendy; Azpilicueta, James, Rudiger, Thiago Silva, Chilwell; Jorginho, Kante; Pulisic, Mount, Werner.
