Confirmed Chelsea team news: Gonzalo Higuain returns as Maurizio Sarri makes two changes

Maurizio Sarri has recalled Gonzalo Higuain for Chelsea's tie with West Ham United - dropping Olivier Giroud.

That's despite the Frenchman netting the opener in the 3-0 victory over Brighton last week but both other players who scored, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Eden Hazard, remain in the side.

Antonio Rudiger is also recalled for the game having missed the last match, replacing Andreas Christensen in the starting XI despite Sarri's comments about how pleased he was with his performance.

Callum Hudson-Odoi also keeps his place in the XI after starting his first ever Premier League game last week and he joins Hazard and Higuain up top.

Kepa Arrizabalaga keeps his place in goal while Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz and Emerson start alongside Rudiger at the back.

N'Golo Kante and Jorginho join Loftus-Cheek in midfield while Pedro returns to the matchday squad having sat out last week's win with an injury.
