Confirmed Brentford team to face Watford as Pinnock misses out with COVID

Brentford have made two changes from their away draw against Leeds for their Premier League clash against Watford tonight.

Ethan Pinnock and Sergi Canos are the two players that miss out against Claudio Ranieri's side. Mathias Jensen and Yoane Wissa have replaced them respectively, in what is a huge night for both.

Pinnock misses out with COVID-19, with Canos missing tonight's clash to suspension, having picked up his fifth yellow card in the draw at Elland Road last Sunday,

Jensen starts for the first time in the league since the defeat to Norwich City at the start of November. Having caught COVID-19 during the last international break, he made his return to action in the London derby defeat against Tottenham last week and appeared in the Bees' draw to Leeds on Sunday.

Tonight is Wissa's first start in the league since his summer arrival from Lorient, with the Congo international already becoming a fan favourite. He has scored against the likes of Liverpool and West Ham, before being sidelined with an ankle injury which ruled him out for eight weeks which was a huge blow given his form at the time.

He returned in the home win against Everton on November 28, and has gradually eased his way back in the side. Thomas Frank will be hoping for more magic later on this evening and going into the weekend with three valuable points.

Brentford: Fernandez, Goode, Norgaard, Jansson; Roerslev, Baptiste, Janelt, Jensen, Henry; Mbeumo, Wissa.

Subs: Cox, Thompson, Forss, Ghoddos, Onyeka, Bidstrup, Sorensen, Stevens, Young-Coombes.
