Confirmed Arsenal XI vs Vitoria: No Mesut Ozil as Emile Smith Rowe takes his No.10 spot

Mesut Ozil has once more been left out of the Arsenal side with Emile Smith Rowe preferred as the Gunners' No.10 to take on Vitoria in the Europa League.

Alexandre Lacazette makes his first start for Arsenal since overcoming his ankle injury with a trio of Smith Rowe, Gabriel Martinelli and Ainsley Maitland-Niles supporting him. Ozil did not even make the matchday squad.

Meanwhile Kieran Tierney, Hector Bellerin and Rob Holding continue to start in fringe competitions despite fan clamour for them to feature in the Premier League.

Emery expects a tough test from Vitoria even though the Portuguese side, who lost their first two games in Group F, left several first-team players at home.

"Tomorrow we'll expect a difficult match," he said in his pre-match press conference. "I think we are showing in Europa League a good performance and a good way in our idea to create and find our way for the future.

"We are playing compact, aggressively and defensively and offensively very good. We want to extend that tomorrow against Vitoria with respect but also by working to achieve the first position in this group.
