Folarin Balogun has been handed a chance to impress upfront for Arsenal in their Carabao Cup quarter-final match against Sunderland.
The striker has scored 13 goals and has provided three assists in just 11 games so far this season, picking up the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for November in the process.
Balogun is expected to go out on loan in January but will be given a chance to stake his claim for a first team spot tonight.
Meanwhile, Bernd Leno is back between the sticks as the German makes a rare appearance in goal.
Cedric Soares starts at right, Nuno Tavares is on the left hand side, while Mohamed Elneny partners Martin Odegaard in midfield.
Ivory Coast international Nicolas Pepe makes his first Arsenal appearance in almost two months, with Eddie Nketiah partnering Balogun upfront.
Arsenal XI vs Sunderland: Leno, Cedric, White, Holding, Tavares, Elneny, Odegaard, Smith Rowe, Pepe, Nketiah, Balogun.
