Confirmed Arsenal XI vs Manchester United: Sead Kolasinac and Nicolas Pepe start

Mikel Arteta has handed starts to Nicolas Pepe and Sead Kolasinac as he bids for a first win as Arsenal head coach as he takes on Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium.

The introduction of the club record signing marks the first time this season that Pepe, Mesut Ozil, Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have all started together.

Meanwhile Sead Kolasinac's introduction comes as something of a surprise with the Bosnian international coming in after minimal appearances in training. Bukayo Saka and Reiss Nelson both drop to the bench.

Sokratis Papastathopoulos starts alongside David Luiz in defence with Granit Xhaka replacing Matteo Guendouzi in midfield.

Premier League match preview: Arsenal v Manchester United

Calum Chambers has been ruled out with an anterior cruciate ligament injury to his knee that could sideline him for the remainder of the season. The Gunners are also without defenders Hector Bellerin (hamstring), Sead Kolasinac (ankle) and Kieran Tierney (knee).

Meanwhile Manchester United are without Paul Pogba. Scott McTominay, Eric Bailly, Timothy Fosu-Mensah (all knee) and Axel Tuanzebe (thigh) are also unavailable.

Arsenal XI: Leno; Maitland-Niles, Sokratis, Luiz, Kolasinac; Xhaka, Torreira; Pepe, Ozil, Aubameyang; Lacazette
